After the Albatross and the Maple Seed we continue our series of paper planes with the Bat Kite. The Bat Kite looks cool, is easy to build and is a good glider.

First fold the upper left part of a sheet of paper (letter or DIN A4) exactly to its opposing edge.

Valley fold the remaining upper tip down to the left corner of the triangle.

Mountain fold the tip backwards. Turn the whole thing around.

Valley fold the tip up again as show.

Put the two wings onto each other using a valley fold.

Cut out a triangle as shown.
Make a valley fold for each of the two wings in the bottom area as shown.
Then mountain fold the two triangles. The corners should stand up in a 90 degree angle.

One of the wings is made of two paper layers. Fix it with some sticky tape.
Try to adjust the wings to exactly form 90 degree angles.
When thrown gently this model should be a good glider.
Have fun!
