X-mas cookies in black and white

You need:

1 cup of sugar - 1 cup of butter - 2 cups of flour, 1 egg, the youlk of one egg - the white of one egg seperatly to cover the cookies before baking and some cacao , an oven, a tray, baking paper, a brush

you mix up everything together except the egg-white - by hand or with a machine :-)

then you take a portion of the pastry and add some cacao to color the pastry dark brown.

After that you can try different styles of making the cookies:

you can do animals, stars, hearts, brezels, numbers, letters, santa clauses what ever you like  -have fun!

you put them on the tray covered with baking paper, you brush the cookies with the egg-white

and put in the oven (170 °C) leave it there until  they look a little bit brownish, not too much (6-9 minutes) - then take them out, let them cool down on a plate and enjoy them!
