Fold your piece of card in half. Sketch an image or write a message on the front of the card. Draw a small circle every 1cm. This will be where your needle will thread through.

Using your plastic needle, very carefully poke a hole through each small dot you made around your sketch. Make sure you have an adult with you while you are doing this.

Thread a piece of yarn through the hole in the needle. Very carefully put the needle up through the first hole and then down through the next one. Leave a thread so you can tie a knot at the end. Thread the needle up through the 3rd hole and then bring it back down through the 2nd hole. Continue until you have threaded yarn through each of the holes.

Open the card and tie a knot so your yarn doesn't accidentally go back through the holes again. Cut off any long ends to about 1 inch long. You are all done. Write a lovely message inside your card and give it to your Valentine.

You can make these cards as easy or as difficult as you want. You may want to try using different colors or drawing a harder sketch. Just remember that if your holes are close together they may split when you are threading your yarn so keep them 1cm apart.
Have fun.
